The media always makes it look like women birth a baby, recover for a short time, get an aggressive exercise routine, and are back to their pre-pregnancy shape and health in no time. We’re left with the impression that if a woman doesn’t snap back quickly, it’s only a matter of lack of discipline.

But this couldn’t be further from reality. Having just grown, housed, and pushed out a new human, the pelvic area and birth canal can understandably be significantly damaged.
